A poetic abstraction of island life and architectural identity, Chora I reimagines the characteristic rooftops, arches, and landscapes of a Greek island town through geometric tile composition. Rendered in soft Mediterranean hues—whitewashed blues, dusky ochres, and terracotta red—the piece honors tradition and place while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

Each hand‑painted tile reveals subtle nuances—flecks, dashes, and linear forms—that echo folk textiles, Byzantine mosaics, and island vernacular architecture.
